Our Lady's BNS: Parents Association

Together with Our Lady’s Girls’ National School we have a very active and supportive Parents’ Association, Our Lady’s Schools’ Parents’ Association.

The mission of our Parents Association is to aim to improve and enrich the education of all children and support parents to get involved in their children’s learning at home, in the community and at schools.

The PA work with the principal, staff and the board of management to build effective partnerships between home and school. Educational research on the involvement of parents in schools shows that children achieve higher levels when parents and teachers work together.

The following are just some of the activities that our Parents Association help run and organise each year;

Organise school events, such as First Holy Communion and Confirmation celebrations
invite speakers to address parents on topical or relevant issues
organise fundraising events such as craft fairs and raffles
arrange after-school activities, e.g., swimming at Meadowbrook pool
