Our Lady's Boys' National School, Ballinteer

Our Lady’s Boys’ School is situated in a place of great beauty, nestling at the foot of the Dublin Mountains and in close proximity to Marlay Park. The school was established in 1969 and since then has been serving the community of Ballinteer.

The school currently has an enrolment of 283 boys, cared for by 17 teaching staff and 9 special needs assistants. The school also has a full-time school secretary. Currently the school has two of each class with the exception of 3rd to 6th classes where we have one class of each.

We also have two classes which cater for children on the Autistic Spectrum. The school has a long history of inclusiveness having one of Dublin’s longest established ASD classes which was opened in 1999.

All of the boys are encourged to work together and support each other and we find that the close relationship between the boys with special educational needs and those without leads to a very empathetic and caring school community.
